2nd Annual Nursing Educational Meeting: Hot Topics in 2013

Our 2nd Annual Nursing Education Meeting offered a series of presentations to enhance the quality of nursing education by providing up-to-date practitioner knowledge for improved patient outcomes. Topics included: Assessment, Red Flags, and Patient Care Management of Patients with Chronic Pain and the Electronic Health Record and Evidence-Based Practice Implementation for the Bedside Nurse. Our guest speakers included: Dr. Alexander Mason with Boulder Neurosurgical & Spine Associates; Dr. Melody Denham with Boulder Pain Institute; Irnie Johnson, medical specialty trial attorney and Dr. Mary Beth Flynn Makic, Assistant Professor University of Colorado Hospital.
More than 100 nurses and staff attended this educational activity, representing hospitals and medical practices spanning the Front Range. This live educational activity is sponsored by the Justin Parker Neurological Institute (JPNI) and Boulder Neurosurgical & Spine Associates (BNA), and is accredited through the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and offered up to 3 contact hours.
