Current Techniques in the Treatment of Cranial and Spinal Disorders

More than 170 attended the 12th Annual Symposium on Current Techniques in the Treatment of Cranial and Spinal Disorders. Symposium attendees heard from 11 speakers and faculty discuss a wide variety of topics including infections, headaches, management of cervical & lumbar radiculopathy and deep brain stimulation. The highlight of the afternoon session included a debate featuring Dr. Sharad Rajpal and Dr. Lee Nelson talking about the surgical and non-surgical management of C2 fractures in the elderly.
The most anticipated speaker was Howard Wasdin, a former Navy SEAL sniper on SEAL Team Six. Howard was shot multiple times while serving in Somalia. He spoke about the dedication and team work needed to carry out his mission. In addition, each of the attendees received an autographed copy of his book “SEAL Team 6: Memoirs of a Navy SEAL.”
