Evolving Surgical Technology and Techniques to Improve the Quality of Life for Patients


Dr. Nanney is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon. He has published on a variety of neurosurgical topics including skull base neurosurgery, open cerebrovascular surgery, endovascular neurosurgery, micro-surgical simulation techniques and value-based care in neurosurgery. His areas of clinical interest are broad and include MIS spine, complex spine and spinal deformity, and general cranial neurosurgical pathologies.  Dr. Nanney in fluent in Spanish, and while attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he studied abroad in an emersion program in Sevilla, Spain.  He worked with a variety of organization working with rural Mexican population and the immigration community.  He was the founding member of Proyecto Puentes de Salud, a student-run organization with the goal of providing HIV and Cardiovascular health education and screening to the local Hispanic community.
