Our 8th Annual Symposium on Current Techniques in the Treatment of Cranial and Spinal disorders is presented by The Justin Parker Neurological Institute (JPNI) and Boulder Neurosurgical & Spine Associates (BNA). A concise review of the latest advancements and treatment considerations in cranial and spinal neurosurgical and orthopedic spine technology will be presented in the form of a series of innovative, didactic presentations. This will include discussion on the latest advancements and treatment options in minimally invasive spine surgery, cranial base surgery, deep brain stimulation and other disorders and their treatments.

The intended audience for this conference includes: orthopaedic spine surgeons, neurosurgeons, physical medicine and rehabilitation and pain management physicians, primary care physicians, physician assistants, residents, fellows, nurses, physical therapists and other health care providers interested in the most innovative technologies and the latest evidence-based clinical guidelines in the care of cranial and spinal disorders.

The Justin Parker Neurological Institute (JPNI) was founded by Dr. Alan Villavicencio and Dr. John Parker and his family in dedication to the memory of their son and brother, Justin who died from a severe traumatic brain injury. The JPNI is an accredited 501(c)3 nonprofit organization now operated under its founding organization at Boulder Neurosurgical & Spine Associates and doctors Alan T. Villavicencio, E. Lee Nelson, Alexander Mason and Sharad Rajpal.

Nearly 200 medical practitioners attend annually, representing hospitals and medical practices spanning the Front Range from Pueblo to Ft. Collins, along with out-of state attendees and speakers. This live activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the AANS and JPNI.

The AANS is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The AANS designates this educational activity for a maximum of 7 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity
