1st Annual Nursing Educational Meeting: Hot Topics in 2012

This first annual nurse meeting is presented by the Justin Parker Neurological Institute (JPNI) and Boulder Neurosurgical & Spine Associates (BNA). This activity is a new CE accredited educational opportunity and an extension of the JPNI mission to advance scientific discoveries and innovative medical technologies into clinical practice by conducting clinical trials in order to implement best practices and disseminate to the medical community. JPNI is a fully accredited 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
The purpose of this live educational activity is to provide timely relevant information regarding brain aging, legal matters affecting nursing, care of anticoagulated patients and professional nursing practice in Colorado.
The educational learning objectives are:
- To discuss aging & the brain: Changes associated with aging and the brain and ethical dilemmas associated with the aging brain
- To discuss legal Issues in Nursing: Being prepared for patient claims, being called to witness a medical-legal claim and accuracy and integrity of medical records
- To discuss care of the anticoagulated patient
- To discuss motivational factors in nursing and the benefits of networking and leadership development

The registration fee includes tuition for 3 CE credit hours, coffee and refreshments before the lectures, a plated lunch and refreshment reception after the lectures.
