Alex Ashton, PA-C
Alex Ashton grew up in the Denver area and has always been fascinated by medicine. For years he worked at a local Ski Patrol and as a Paramedic in Boulder and Weld counties before graduation from the Yale University Physician Associate Program in 2002. At Boulder Neurosurgical Associates, he works closely with Dr. Villavicencio. Alex enjoys the challenges neurosurgery offers and is excited to work with highly skilled, experienced, and motivated surgeons.

Eric Busch, PA-C
Eric Busch is a Physician Assistant at Boulder Neurosurgical Associates since 2002. He graduated from Cornell University Medical College Physician Assistant program. He made his decision to pursue a medical career after working as an outdoor educator at the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.

Carrie Riantong, RN
Carrie Riantong grew up in the Front Range area and received her nursing degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Thereafter, she started her nursing career at Longmont United Hospital in perioperative services.
Currently, Carrie is working to achieve a Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado with the goal to practice as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.

Gene Cook, PA
Gene Cook graduated from the University of Colorado Denver's Physician Assistant program. Since attending Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, Gene has been fascinated by medicine. Gene is enthused about work with his colleagues at Boulder Neurosurgical Associates.
Between college and his PA training, he became a Certified Nursing Assistant, while developing his skills as a volleyball player and coach. Growing up in an Air Force family has afforded Gene an opportunity to live in different places.

Jason Davis, PA
Jason Davis has always been drawn to the practice of medicine for its complexity and rewards. He has worked as a paramedic and fire fighter in Portland Oregon prior to obtaining his Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. Having always enjoyed a challenging and educational environment he is enthused to be working in neurosurgery.
